Mount Lofty Summit is located in the Clyland Nature Reserve (Cleland Conservation Park), east of the state capital of South Australia, about 17 km from downtown Adelaide, about 13 km from the Falls Valley (Waterfall Gully), another attraction within the Clyland Nature Reserve, or about 3.5 km on foot.
