Monarto Safari Park

Monarto Safari Park (Monarto Safari Park, formerly known as Monato Zoo, is located on the western outskirts of Murray Bridge, the fifth largest city in South Australia, between the towns of Murray Bridge and (Mount Barker, SA), about 50 kilometers from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.

If most Australian zoos can still make people feel like they are in Australia, Monarto Safari Park will give visitors the feeling of walking into Africa. The 15-square-kilometer zoo is the largest open zoo in Australia, giraffes, lions, white rhinoceros, ostriches, cheetahs, African wild wolves, meerkats, chimpanzees, these African elements magically converge into a whole.

Monarto Safari Park plays an important role in rare earth and endangered species breeding programs and is home to South Australia's first southern white rhinoceros and Australia's largest giraffes.

Spending a day here, traveling through all kinds of beasts by sightseeing bus, looking at the boundless grasslands and semi-deserts, there will be an illusion of being in Africa. The star here is giraffes, and there are two giraffes fed and introduced by breeders every day, and the giraffes will bring a lot of joy. Although the ticket price is a little higher, the journey is long, and the animal species are relatively small, if you drive to Melbourne by yourself from Adelaide, you might as well stay here for a day and enjoy the boundless beauty of nature.

Tips：

• The zoo's visitor center includes a large coffee shop dining area, gift shop, explanation center and consultation desk;
• The Zu-loop bus of the zoo leaves the tourist center on a regular basis and has stations in various areas, which can be followed by tourists.
• If you do not want to take a shuttle bus, the zoo has a total length of about 10 kilometers of walkways, which can be used by tourists to explore flexibly.
• Monarto Safari Park is one of the few Australian zoos without koalas and kangaroos, and friends who want to see koalas and kangaroos pay attention.
