Mount Nelson is only 340m above sea level, but it is nearer to the heart of Horbart than Mount Wellington. From the Mount Nelson, you can also comfortably take a bird's eye view of the lower landscape. In the past, there was a signal station on Mount Nelson to send signals to ships travelling to and from the Devon River. Now the signal station has been converted into a restaurant. Mount Nelson is a popular place to watch the night view. If you have a bit of leisure, you may as well step into the Peak Restaurant. With a sip of tea or coffee, a leisurely north view of Hobart's beautiful city view, the (Mount Nelson Lookout) on the port and the Devon Nelson is the perfect location to see the panoramic view of the Hobart city and the Storm Bay (Storm Bay).
