Maria Island

Maria Island is located on (Tasman Sea) in the Tasmania Sea southeast of Tasmania. It is about 4.5km from Tasmania and covers an area of about 115.5 square kilometers. The whole Maria Island belongs to (Maria Island National Park), Island, Maria Island National Park, which has no resident population.

Maria Island is a mountainous island, rich in natural scenery and history and culture, with the remains of indigenous Australian life and the history of prisoner exile, as well as many unique wildlife in Australia. The painted cliff (Painted Cliff, on the island takes about 2 hours) and the fossil cliff (Fossil Cliff, takes about 2.5 hours) are two popular hiking routes. The former can see different patterns and colors of rocks due to iron oxide, while the latter can see many fossils on the cliffs.

Maria Island is a very popular family camping site. Every summer, Maria Island ferry ships are often filled with camping equipment and bicycles, but because Maria Island forbids cars, the equipment can only be transported by the relevant departments of the park to campsites or dormitories. There is no food sale and accommodation on the island, and dry food and tents need to be brought.

In addition to camping in, Maria Island, another popular activity is hiking. There are a number of hiking routes on the island that suit different needs. Wharf, a cruise ship between mainland and Maria, located in the small town of (Triabunna), is about 85 km from Habat, with only two flights a day, two flights at 9: 00 and 12: 00, and two return flights at 12:00 and 16 (the exact time varies with the seasons). The ferry runs for about 30 minutes to ensure maximum access to dolphins, whales, seals and seabirds. The ship is equipped with an underwater camera and a full-size viewing platform.
