Maria Island is a mountainous island, rich in natural scenery and history and culture, with the remains of indigenous Australian life and the history of prisoner exile, as well as many unique wildlife in Australia. The painted cliff (Painted Cliff, on the island takes about 2 hours) and the fossil cliff (Fossil Cliff, takes about 2.5 hours) are two popular hiking routes. The former can see different patterns and colors of rocks due to iron oxide, while the latter can see many fossils on the cliffs.

Maria Island is a very popular family camping site. Every summer, Maria Island ferry ships are often filled with camping equipment and bicycles, but because Maria Island forbids cars, the equipment can only be transported by the relevant departments of the park to campsites or dormitories. There is no food sale and accommodation on the island, and dry food and tents need to be brought.

In addition to camping in, Maria Island, another popular activity is hiking. There are a number of hiking routes on the island that suit different needs. Under the leadership of a tour guide, you can cross the charming seaside and mountains of Maria Island National Park, know a wide variety of wild animals, understand the rich and colorful colonial history of the island, enjoy the magnificent scenery of the island, and enjoy the wonders of the Tasmanian Nature Reserve. Finally, in the elegant wilderness tent, taste the famous Tasmanian food and wine.

Due to the warm ocean current, the weather on the east coast of Tasmania is usually milder than in other areas, so Maria Island has a long summer, fresh, bright winter, mild autumn weather and a vibrant spring freshness.

Wharf, a cruise ship between mainland and Maria, located in the small town of (Triabunna), is about 85 km from Habat, with only two flights a day, two flights at 9: 00 and 12: 00, and two return flights at 12:00 and 16 (the exact time varies with the seasons). The ferry runs for about 30 minutes to ensure maximum access to dolphins, whales, seals and seabirds. The ship is equipped with an underwater camera and a full-size viewing platform. Tickets can be booked directly on the ferry website at http://www.mariaislandferry.com.au/.
