Newcastle Museum is located in the heart of Newcastle, NSW's second largest city, about 170km north of Sydney. The museum was built in 1988 and moved to its current address in 2011. It shows the history of Newcastle's city and cast steel, while children can take part in all kinds of scientific activities, and there is a small cafe in the museum.
