Jurien Bay

Introduction of Jurien Bay

Jurien Bay is a coastal town in (Wheatbelt region), Western Australia, about 220km south from Perth, the capital of Western Australia. About 30 kilometers by car from the town of (Cervantes), (Cervantes), the northern entrance to (Nambung National Park), South State National Park, with a permanent population of about 1500 people.

Although the coastline was discovered by European explorers as early as the 17th century, it was already the beginning of the 19th century by the time it was named Jurien Bay, and it was not until around 1850 that people began to settle here. Fishermen set up a small fishing village here and started fishing, and it was not until 1956 that the town of Jurien Bay was officially published.

Today's Jurien Bay is a popular resort on the coast of Western Australia, driving north from Perth to Shark Bay (Shark Bay). It is a paradise for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Fishing and food are also features here. The crayfish (Crayfish) is very high-quality, and the town is famous for its beautiful skydiving.
