Although Melbourne has not yet arrived summer, but spring afternoon to the beach for a walk, a spring swim is still very good. Here are the best beaches in Melbourne selected by the Herald Sun.

1. Semilunar Bay (Half Moon Bay)

This curved bay has complete swimming and ship docking facilities. The wreckage of the Royal Australian Navy ship Cerberus is a little distance from the coast and a hot spot for diving. The surrounding cliffs make the beach picturesque and a good place to relax or have a picnic. The nearby wharf is popular with young people who often swim or dive there.

You can order fish and fries in the nearby commissary and enjoy the waves and beaches. When they're done, they'll let you know with a portable buzzer. Or you can book a window table at Cerberus Beach House, watch the bright red sunset fall into the bay and enjoy the food.

2. Hampton Beach (Hampton Beach)

This beach Melbourne is one of the most secretive places to go. There are lifeguards patrolling, and the beach is big enough to make you enjoy comfortable seaside time. Brighton Beach Station is only a short way from here, but if you're from the south end of the beach, it's Hampton Station.. It's not as busy as South Melbourne Beach and St Kilda Beach, but parking is troublesome. If you don't like swimming very much, a short walk to Sandringham Yacht Club, is where you can rent a vertical paddle surfboard or a kite surfboard (kite board).

3. Williams Beach, (Williamstown Beach).

It is the best beach on the west side, and it is a well-known fact. The beach, located west of the West Gate Bridge, has a long, sandy beach belt and is cleaned every day and patrolled by lifeguards. The sea water here is very shallow, especially suitable for children. When the weather is hot, it will be very lively, so once you arrive late, it will be very difficult to find a parking space. But Williamstown North Station is not far away. There are plenty of barbecue facilities in addition to snacks and food at Sirens Restaurant and the commissary.

4. Altona Beach, (Altona Beach)

As good as Williamstown Beach, but a little fewer people. The beach is longer and wharf can dive. Although there are more water and grass, the beach is also cleaned daily. Altona Village has plenty of coffee shops and takeout food shops. There is also a special kite surfing area separated from the swimming area. Here, you can see the magnificent Port Phillip Bay sunset, and you can also see Portalington and Point Cook.. The bus that arrives here is quite convenient for, Altona Station to walk 5 minutes from here.

5. Mount Martha, South Beach, (Mount Martha South Beach).

Here the beach belt is very wide, has the beach house, the scenery is very good. As there is a small bay, it is divided into two. Lifeguards patrol the north end of the south beach. This is not a good place for children to play. Holiday dates can also be crowded.

6. Mother Beach, (Mothers Beach).

The sea water here is very shallow, so it is very suitable for the family swimming together. The beach is clean, and there are picnic tables and barbecue grills under the cool trees.

7 long Beach (Longbeach)

Longbeach between Patterson River and Mordialloc is a pearl on Melbourne's seaside crown. White sand, clear water, pleasing to the eye that is not blowing.

8. (Bushrangers Bay), Jungle Ranger Bay, (Mornington Peninsula National Park), Monington Peninsula National Park

Although it looks thicker than any other beach, it must not disappoint you with the limpid and quiet beauty of the beach. But this beach, surrounded by basalt cliffs, is not suitable for swimming because the waves are larger. But it's definitely worth a walk there. Start with the Boneo Rd parking lot, and follow the Main Creek walkway (2.5km), or Bushrangers Bay Track (2.6km from the Cape Schanck parking lot.
