Converted vaccine record

Immigrants from home or studying in Australia need to convert their vaccination records in China into those in Australia.

So how do you do this conversion? The first thing you need to do is get a Medicare card for your child.

With a Medicare card, you can go to a nearby clinic to find GP, the so-called family doctor. GP will contact a nurse to help you translate your child's Chinese vaccination records into English and enter them into the Medicare system.

Shanghai vaccine records are bilingual and do not require translation, but they are not available in places such as Beijing.

Oreo had a friend who had brought his child, and the nurse at his clinic was a Chinese, who could read Chinese and translated it smoothly. My friend translated a copy himself, but it didn't work. (you can choose to translate on your own.)

According to Australian rules, after all the necessary vaccinations of that age, the nurse will give you a confirmation letter, which can first be delivered to the school or kindergarten. Prove that the child has been vaccinated, but the Medicare has no information for the time being.

Since nurses submit to the Medicare system, they have to wait about 1-2 weeks to update their status. After this waiting period, you will be able to obtain the official vaccination certificate of Medicare.

One or two weeks later, Medicare will send a letter to the home address, as well as access to the Medicare website or mobile phone to check the vaccination record, (Immunisation history record), and provide the official version to kindergarten or school.

Note: the condition must be updated in order to indicate that all vaccines required by Australia have been vaccinated.
