This means Sydney and Melbourne will be 1 hour earlier than Brisbane ,90 minutes earlier than Darwin and 3 hours earlier than Perth.

There is no daylight saving time in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

For some Australians, this time adjustment can lead to sleep and body rhythm problems.

Dr. harrington (Carmel Harrington), ResMed of the medical sleep equipment company, says changes in the biological clock are causing problems for many australians.

"For some of us, pushing the clock for an hour actually causes serious sleep health problems ," he said. "

"We may have another hour of daylight, but our biological clocks aren't adjusted so fast, and we find it difficult to fall asleep an hour earlier and wake up an hour earlier. "

Dr. Harrington suggested getting up early on Saturday to make up for lost time at night.

Australians should also keep their bedrooms as bright as possible to wake up on Sunday morning.

Most smartphone devices and computers will automatically adapt to new times, but analog clocks need to be changed manually.

This daylight saving time will end on April 4,2021.
