Recently, Bumbunga Lake, near Adelaide, has suddenly become popular, a niche that no one has ever known. It's often used to social media lately.

Recently, the Bumbunga Lake near Adelaide has suddenly become popular. This small scenic spot, which no one knows, has often appeared on all kinds of social media these days. Every weekend, the lake is crowded with people, and even the Chinese travel society drives a bus to take the whole group of tourists. I also take advantage of the heat to make you a Bumbunga Lake strategy.

How do I get to pink lake

Bumbunga is an indigenous language, meaning "Lake of Rain Water". There is no standard translation in Chinese. Some are translated as "Pink Lake", some are called "Bubenga Lake", "Bobangga Lake", of course, it is more directly called "pink lake" and "Adelaide pink lake". Bumbunga Lake is a salt marsh lake, like most Australian salt moor lakes, the lake is shallow, the deepest is only about 10 centimeters. When the sun is direct, the microbes in the lake react with salt and produce a large amount of carotene, which makes the lake pink, but this pink is not immutable. Generally speaking, the stronger the sun, the larger the pink range and the brighter the pink range. But if it does not rain for a long time, the lake water will dry up, then you can only see the white flower riverbed covered with salt crystallization. So the best time to visit is on a sunny day after the rain, of course, it may be impossible for many tourists to meet, so do not have to force, maintain the ordinary heart, can fully enjoy the fun of the journey.

Bumbunga Lake is located to the north of Adelaide, about 130km from downtown Adelaide to Bumbunga Lake. The road is easy to walk and can be reached by car in about 1.5 hours. From Adelaide along Prince Hwy (A1) all the way north, when you see the windmill on the hillside, you basically get to the town of Lochiel, and Bumbunga Lake is located by the town. Lochiel is a very small town with a resident population of less than 200 people. There is only one post office and one small coffee shop in town.

There are two places to get close contact with Bumbunga Lake, one opposite the church in the town of Lochiel, where you can park on the side of the road and walk to the lake; The other is to continue about 1.5 kilometers north along A1. On the right hand side of the road, there is an unremarkable and no sign at the entrance of (Lookout), which is opened up on the right. Be careful not to overopen, where you can also walk to the lake. In particular, Bumbunga Lake is still in the undeveloped stage, so the facilities are very rudimentary, even if the so-called viewing platform is specially opened up, but only a table stool, can stop the car, not even the toilet. The location is shown in the following figure:

Map around pink lake

Note that if you want to walk into Bumbunga Lake, a pair of slippers is necessary, the lake is full of salt marsh, gravel and rotten mud, barefoot walking will be very painful, and salt also has a certain corrosion effect, for the girl who loves the United States, it will also have a certain lethal effect.

Route arrangement (self-driving)

According to experience, you can play Bumbunga Lake in a maximum of 1 / 2 hours. The best schedule is to start from Adelaide after lunch, because the sun is strong in the afternoon, the color of pink lake is usually the brightest in a day, and you can end your return to town after watching sunset in Bumbunga Lake. For friends who have arranged a whole day, you can refer to the following arrangements for the route:

Bumbunga Lake is located on the only way from Adelaide north to famous tourist destinations such as (Coober Pedy), Alice Springs (Alice Springs), Ururu (Uluru). If there are friends who drive to these places in the near future, they can go to Bumbunga Lake, without having to go to Bumbunga Lake, and play when they pass by.

In the morning from Adelaide, after playing Bumbunga Lake, return to the original road, but to the southeast into the famous wine producing area Barosa Valley (Barossa Valley), to visit winery, Lindao Mountain rose garden or echo wall and other scenic spots before returning to the city; about the Barosa Valley attractions can be referred to: http://australia51.com/place/DC854908-0863-840E-9035-DE9F48DD5DB7/;

Starting from Adelaide in the morning, after playing Bumbunga Lake, driving about 60 kilometers west to the small town of Monta (Moonta), on the York Peninsula, which has a long history, and the clearest sea water and the most beautiful trestle in South Australia, the (Jetty) sunset, because of underwater seaweed, the sea water here is clearly divided into two colors, clear and beautiful. You can often see leisurely devil fish under Jetty; Monta has a resident population of more than 4000, complete facilities, and lunch can also be solved here.

For a general route map, please take a look at the figure below:

Travel with a regiment

For the non-self-driving friend, Bumbunga Lake is located in a remote town, there is no public transport in a place where the bus is extremely backward in Tu`ao. It is the only choice to follow the regiment or charter car. There is nothing to say about charter car. Go wherever you want, so here we only talk about following the group.

Because Bumbunga Lake is still in an undeveloped state, it is relatively small, there are few groups to go, and there are fewer Chinese groups, and its geographical position is more awkward, and it is a certain distance from Adelaide`s common one-day tourist destination, such as Handorf Town, Barosa Valley, Port Vit, etc., so it is difficult to arrange a very good route, coupled with the high weather requirements of visiting Bumbunga Lake. It is likely that the crowd will run over happily, and then they will see a river bed that is not very red and return. Travel agencies are afraid of affecting guest satisfaction, so there are few one-day tour groups organized by Westerners travel agencies in Adelaide to Bumbunga Lake, Chinese, but I find a Chinese group with a one-day tour of Clare Valley in Pink Lake Adelaide, which is issued every Thursday and Saturday. Friends who need it can take a look at it.

All right, BumbungaLake is here. If there are other questions, please leave a message here. Finally, end this article with several pictures(some pictures come from the network), and wish you all get what you want during the journey.
