Introduction of Silverton

Silverton is a small village located inland in the west of new south wales, close to the south australian border, about 20 km from Broken Hill and 1170 km from the capital of new south wales Sydney.

Silverton used to be a busy mining town, but with the rise of nearby Broken Hill, the town has gradually declined, until today, the resident population is less than 100 people, mainly engaged in tourism and services, because the location of the Australian inland desert, surrounded by desert terrain, coupled with a bit of desolation with the look of waste soil, it has become an Australian inland style symbol of small town, many film and television works have been set here, These include "Mad Max 2"(Mad Max)," Mission Spy 2"(Mission Impossible)," Hunt "(Razorback) and" Desert Monster "(The Adventures of Priscilla,Queen of the Desert), while attracting many tourists exploring inland deserts. Even there's a museum in town with the theme of the Hollywood waste watch "Crazy Max 2", which collects props and photo. from the" Crazy Max 2"
