Eurimbula National Park

Centre of Park, Eurimbula QLD 4677, Australia

Introduction of Eurimbula National Park

Eurimbula National Park is located on the east coast of Queensland in the Grayton Stone area (Gladstone Region), faces the vast Coral Sea (Coral Sea), covers an area of 125 square kilometers, the nearest town is Anniwater (Agnes Water) and Seventeen Seventy.

In 1770, the famous Captain James Cook, (Captain James Cook), made his first landing in Queensland on this picturesque coastline, and in 1977, 200 years later, it was officially designated as a national park. Eurimbula National Park is botanical, with tropical rainforests and coastal mangroves, where botanist Joseph Banks (Joseph Banks) collected plant samples.

Now, Eurimbula National Park is a paradise for jungle hikers, boating fans and fishermen. The National Park consists of three separate parts:

  • Main parts: the centre of the Erembla Creek (Eurimbula Creek, with access from (Agnes Water Road), Angelwater Road (recommended four-wheel drive), and camping facilities near (Bimard Beach) Beach, Baymad Beach;
  • Inland: a short uphill walk to a gazebo called Gongganuga (Ganoonga Noonga), where you can enjoy the coastal landscape and the opposite swamps and wilderness landscapes.
  • Northern: including Luo De Peninsula (Rodds Peninsula) and Cape Bastedt (Bustard Head) and the adjacent Jeanlinde Creek (Jenny Lind Creek); at Seventeen Seventy can sign up for the iconic 1770 amphibious cruise (1770 LARC! Tours) visiting Cape Bastard, the Luo De Peninsula can only be accessed by private vessels, while the rest is very difficult to reach.
