Perry Sandhills

Perry Sandhills, Old Renmark Rd, Wentworth NSW 2648, Australia

Introduction of Perry Sandhills

Perry Sandhills is located in northwest Victoria, at the junction of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, and the nearest town is Wentworth, a small town in New South Wales. About 30 kilometers by car from Mildeira (Mildura), a small inland town in Victoria.

Located on the edge of the alluvial plain and covering an area of about 160 hectares, Perry Sandhills is a unique and unpredictable land structure with stunning red dunes, which geologists believe originated after the Ice Age (40,000 years ago). Formed by wind erosion in thousands of years of historical evolution.

The bones of large kangaroos, kangaroos and other creatures have been found in Perry Sandhills, which shows models of the animals at the Pioneer Museum (Pioneer Museum) in the region. The aboriginal tribes also camped and hunted in the area.

Perry Sandhills's sand is so soft that small melons are found everywhere in the sand, with shade and dining tables at the entrance for picnics and cleaning after climbing the dunes.

The annual Star Concert (Music Under the Stars) is held in Perry Sandhills, becoming an important part of the Mildira Wentworth Festival (Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival), and, Perry Sandhills is the setting for many movies and television shows.
