The Commissariat Store Museum is located in Brisbane, Queensland's capital, on the north bank of (Brisbane River), Brisbane River, across the river from (Brisbane South Bank Parkland), the South Bank Park of Brisbane.
Built by prisoners in 1829, the quartermaster warehouse (The Commissariat Store), one of the oldest buildings in Brisbane, is now a museum open to the public, with an interesting collection of prehistoric artifacts and Brisbane memorabilia. He has held many large-scale exhibitions on the social history of Queensland and Brisbane, such as Queensland in time of War and Post History of Queensland.
