Mon Repos (Mon Repos, is located on the eastern outskirts of Bundaberg, a port city on the southeast coast of Queensland.
Mon Repos, the largest and most visited turtle breeding ground in Australia, climbs to the beach between November and February to lay eggs, buries its eggs in the sand, and then climbs back to the sea. About ten weeks or so, the successful baby turtle will climb into the sea. The state-of-the-art Mon Repos Turtle Center (Mon Repos Turtle Centre) on the beach contains a variety of audio-visual materials to introduce the ecology and behavior of large turtles, and center managers will lead visitors to the beach to observe the spawning of sea turtles near the beach.
