Introduction of Brisbane Festival

Brisbane Festival is an annual art festival in Brisbane, Queensland, usually in September for three weeks.

The forerunner of the Brisbane Festival was the first time it was held in 1961 on the Brisbane Varana Festival (Brisbane's Warana Festival). In 1996, in order to promote the development of the arts, the Queensland Government and the Brisbane City Government decided to start hosting the biennial Brisbane Festival; By 2009, the government of Brisbane had decided to merge Brisbane Festival with the fireworks show on the Brisbane River, while changing the timing of the Brisbane Festival to an annual date.

The artistic director of, Brisbane Festival was Tony Gould (Tony Gould) from 1996 to 2004, and Lyndon Trachney (Lyndon Terracini) served as director in 2006 and 2008. As a result of their efforts since 2010, co-chaired by Noel Staunton (Noel Staunton) and David Basherd (David Berthold), Brisbane Festival has evolved into one of the highest-rated international art festivals in Australia.

Today's Brisbane Festival is one of Australia's most important international arts festivals and Queensland's largest cultural and artistic event, attracting about 1 million visitors a year.

The 2018 Brisbane Festival showcased from September 8 to 29 at 17 venues in Brisbane, bringing the masterpieces of Australian and internationally renowned art performers to the audience. The three-week festival became a freshly fashionable and classic audiovisual feast with more than 600 performances, including Kabale, circus, comedy, drama, music and dance, as well as family events, with more than 600 performances, including cabaret, circus, comedy, theatrical movies, music and dance, as well as family events.
