Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park, Kakadu Hwy, Jabiru NT 0886, Australia

Introduction of Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park is located in the north of the Northern Territory, about 150km by car from Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory, and bordering (Arnhem Land), the indigenous autonomous region of the Northern Territory, to the east, covering an area of 19804 square kilometres, equivalent to 3 to 5 per cent of the area of Hainan Province. Kakadu National Park is Australia's largest national park. Kakadu, a former indigenous autonomous region, was classified as a national park in 1979 and was listed on the World Cultural and Natural Heritage list by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1981.

Kakadu National Park is one of the most concentrated areas of indigenous rock art in the world. , Kakadu National Park, the native home of Australia's indigenous Kakadu, was named after the tribe, whose ancestors had moved from Southeast Asia at least 40,000 years ago, first by island-to-island crossing the sea. It later arrived here by land from New Guinea when the ice-age sea was low. The indigenous Kakadu people inherit the world's oldest surviving culture, a culture that has existed for 40, 000 years since humans settled in the Middle East in the form of villages and began farming for the first time. All the cultures that live today can trace back to a period of history, which is much shorter than the long society of the ancestors. No culture shows the cultural heritage of the Australian ancestors more clearly than Kakadu National Park. According to the Kakadu legend, the Kakadu wasteland was created by their female ancestor, Valamoren Gandhi. She came out of the sea into land and gave life. She was followed by other creators, such as Goldberg: giant crocodiles who created rocks. Some ancestor gods fulfill their creative mission and become landscapes, such as Jinge into a protrusive rock, shaped like a crocodile back. Most of the parks are owned by aborigines, who rent their land to the National Park and Wildlife Administration. Rock paintings, stone carvings and archaeological sites document the way of life of the indigenous people who lived here from prehistoric to modern times, including numerous caves, murals inside the caves, stone carvings and human life sites.

In addition, Kakadu National Park has a unique and complex ecosystem, the tropical landscape of wetland rainforests, tidal fluctuations, alluvial plains, low-lying areas and plateaus, which are ideal environments for the reproduction of unique animals and plants. Many rare birds and fish live in Australia. The National Park also houses both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, including the freshwater alligator in the Mary River area south of the park and the saline alligator in the northern part of the park closer to the sea. Kakadu's crocodile roost is so large that it can be said to be a world of crocodiles.

When tourists travel by boat to (East Alligator River) and (Yellow Water), they can sometimes see crocodiles, Australian lung fish passing by, and unusual birds such as magpie geese, Australian cranes (brolgas), storks and white-bellied sea sculptures. In addition, visitors can take the Cuban La Shui Tan walking route (Gubarra Pools Walk), through sandstone cliffs to the shadowed monsoon rain forest, or through the Buba walk route (Bubba Walk), through the surrounding white thousand-storey trees, Dudou trees. Cycads and lotus wetlands watch the spectacular Jim Falls (Jim Falls) fly down more than 250 meters.

The Northern Territory is hot in summer, and the best season to travel to Kakadu National Park is the dry season (April-October).
