Nimbin Rocks is located in the southwest suburb of Nimbin, a small town in the North River region of (Northern Rivers area), northeast New South Wales, about 10 kilometers from Nimbin.
Nimbin Rocks is a large group of rhyolite on the mountain,. Nimbin Rocks formed by a volcanic eruption here 20 million years ago in the dense forest, and is a very important cultural site of the local native (Bundjalung) of Bangalon.
