Introduction of Wivenhoe Dam

Wivenhoe Dam is located on Lake Wilvinho (Lake Wivenhoe), west of Brisbane, about 70 kilometers from the city of Brisbane. The Wivenhoe Dam is a rock dam built in 1984 to supply drinking water to the Brisbane area. The Wivenhoe Dam is 2.3km in length and up to 79m in height.
