Ipswich, the satellite city of Brisbane, Queensland, is about 40 kilometers from downtown Brisbane.

The Workshops Rail Museum is a train theme museum, part of the Queensland Museum and Science Center (Queensland Museum & Sciencentre, and has won Australian and Queensland Heritage and Cultural Tourism Awards.

The Workshops Rail Museum is located in one of Australia's oldest railway workshops, which is still in operation, and is large enough to bring truly fully interactive relics and cultural experiences to visitors.

The Workshops Rail Museum, visitors can personally come into contact with exhibits and multimedia displays, including modern exhibitions, simulated train, physical cars, Nips Railway (Nippers Railway) Children's Zone and so on, and Queensland's largest model railway, which vividly shows the long history of the railway. Guided by a tour guide, the Martian splashing railway repair workshop is the museum's most exciting experience.

There are cafes and simple buffets in The Workshops Rail Museum, and the museum will host a series of exhibitions and wonderful school holidays throughout the year, including "traveling with Thomas".
