Testing Grounds

1-23 City Rd, Southbank VIC 3006, Australia

Introduction of Testing Grounds

Testing Grounds is located on the south bank of the Southbank, Australian Ballet Center (The Australian Ballet) on the south bank of the (Yarra River) River in Victoria's capital, Melbourne, and covers an area of about 2000 square meters.

The Testing Grounds venue, originally the YMCA, was gradually abandoned after 1980, until 2014, when the Melbourne government issued a "letter of intent" to the entire population, transforming it into a space for outdoor arts and education. Testing Grounds means "Testing Grounds". The aim is to experiment to become the heart of the Melbourne art district, constantly developing and sharing art.

After the transformation of Testing Grounds has become Melbourne's network celebrity landmark, this unique outdoor art space combines literature and art and mystery, its unique industrial style characteristics, attracted countless literary and artistic youth to eat and photography there. Some groups also often hold events there.
