Broome Historical Society & Museum (Broome Historical Society & Museum) (Broome)., a tourist coastal city in (Kimberley Region), Kimberley region, Northern Western Australia
Broome Historical Society & Museum, located in an 1890 historical building, introduces the relatively long and charming history of Broome. The Rom Museum of History and Society's attitude towards Aboriginal cities is admirable, and the beautiful legend of the fantasy age in Aboriginal Australian mythology contrasts strongly with the cruelty and cold blood of the early colonists of Broome. The group of chained indigenous prisoners in the picture speaks to this point without a doubt. Japan's often-forgotten air strikes on northern Western Australia are also shown here, revealing some of its past history, such as the 1942 incident in Canot Bay.
