Barrington Tops National Park

Barrington Tops National Park, New South Wales, Australia

Introduction of Barrington Tops National Park

The Barrington Tops National Park is located in the (Hunter Valley) area of Hunter Valley, New South Wales, about 250km from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, and covers an area of about 765km2.

Founded in 1969, Barrington Tops National Park is part of UNESCO's assessment of the World Natural Heritage: Australia's Gonwana Rainforest (Gondwana Rainforests of Australia).

Barrington Tops National Park is part of the Royal range (Mount Royal Range), with many animals and plants in the National Park, with plant ecosystems ranging from sub-tropical rainforests to highland vegetation on top of the mountain, which are always covered with thick snow. Because of the steep terrain and the lack of human activity, the animal ecosystem in the National Park is complete, and a wide variety of wild animals survive and breed there, and there are even some endangered animals in the world, including platypus and flamingos, Green cat magpie, purple-backed villa bird, ecole, bat, kingfisher, puffin, crowned parrot, weasel, Australian kangaroo, etc.

Barrington Tops National Park has become a well-known weekend vacation and adventure resort, with many trails and campgrounds open for visitors, and four-wheel drives to view the colorful, fantastic national park.
