Am é d é e Lighthouse, one of the emblems of Noum é a and even New Caledonia, is located on a reef about 16 kilometers south of (Noumea), capital of New Caledonia, France's overseas territory.
Built in 1865, the A é d é e Lighthouse, 56 meters tall and white, is made of cast iron and allows visitors to climb to the top of the lighthouse to overlook the invincible beauty of the surrounding area. From Noum é a, you can charter a boat to the island where the lighthouse is located and sail for about 40 minutes, passing through corals and shipwrecks along the way. There are French-owned diving shops on the island that can snorkeling or scuba diving. The coral reefs around the island are very beautiful and there are many kinds of fish.
