Lancelin Sand Dunes is located in Lancelin., a coastal town on the west coast of Western Australia.
Lancelin Sand Dunes is the largest sand dune in Western Australia. The blue and clear sea water is only a supporting role here. The protagonist here is a continuous sand dune, which is different from the desolation and grandeur of the Sahara Desert in North Africa, nor is it like the endless, desolate and uninhabited Xinjiang Taklimakan Desert, where the sand dunes are whiter and finer, and are located on the seaside, on the one hand, in the blue Indian Ocean, and on the other hand, in the white desert. The strong contrast is so natural and amazing here, and the charming scenery has won it a dream nickname: ice cream dunes.
Sand skating is the most popular experience in Lancelin, with many stores in town renting skateboards (about A $10 for 2 hours), hiking to the top of a slope of nearly 45 degrees with skateboards, and then enjoying flying down. The dune here is about 50 meters high and the slope is more than 45 degrees. Although it is not high, it is much more exciting to stand at the top of the dune than it is in the underground. It takes a lot of courage to slide down at full speed.
