Introduction of Box Hill

Box Hill is a Chinese community located on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne state capital, about 15 kilometers from downtown Melbourne.

Box Hill was once an independent municipality and became part of the Melbourne in the 1950s. As well as Sydney's Good City Circle (Hurstville), Box Hill is one of the representatives of the Australian Chinese community, which is bustling, well-commercial and also known as Little Hong Kong, where most of the residents are Chinese and other Asians and, even if they speak only Chinese, can still live a convenient life, whether shopping, seeing a doctor or going to a bank, with Chinese employees.

Box Hill shopping center (Box Hill Central) is the core of the Box Hill community, the small square at the entrance often has all kinds of street performances, the Chinese residents, especially the elderly also like to chat here, surrounded by bustling business district, shops, restaurant tea house and various entertainment projects make BoxHill appear a bit bright, but a few steps away is the park and small lake area, quiet atmosphere, beautiful scenery, is a good place for local residents to take a casual walk.
