Porongurup National Park, in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, is about 20km away from Mount Barker, WA (Mount Barker, WA), covering 26.21 sq km.
Porongurup National Park is dominated by Polongurup Range, with Devil's Slide at 670 metres above sea level at the top of the National Park.
National parks are home to a variety of local flora and fauna, with more than 750 species and spectacular Karritrees forests. National Park has a superb jungle walking trail that offers a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding plains. South of the National Park is one of the most beautiful places for wildflowers to bloom, and in spring or early summer, there are a variety of flowers, such as hyacinth, acacia, mountain dragon's eye, oil tung, hackwood, silver birch and orchids, which are in full bloom.
The ancient granite dome of Ploupprange is a popular choice for climbers, with birdwatchers also flocking to see bright-colored scarlet and yellow robins, and reddish-brown brown short-mouthed wooden finches that may also see western grey kangaroos and bush wallabies. There are a number of scenic picnic spots in the National Park, as well as barbecue facilities and toilets.
Castle Rock, Balancing Rock, Gibraltar Rock and the like are well-known attractions within the Porongurup National Park.
