King Island is a mini-island in (Moreton Bay), north of Brisbane, Queensland's capital. It covers only about 1 hectare, is uninhabited, and has no buildings or man-made facilities.
King Island is close to (Wellington Point Recreation Reserve), the Cape Wellington Reserve on the eastern outskirts of Brisbane, and there is a protruding sandbar between the island and the mainland, thus forming a natural path to walk to the island, where there is a unique bird. Very cute, you can also catch small crabs on the way past, pay attention to wearing a pair of convenient flushing slippers, and remember to come back every afternoon before the tide rises, otherwise the narrow sand road will be flooded. Then I'll have to swim back.
