Oatlands, a historic small town of Callington Mill in central Tasmania, is one of Oatlands's landmark buildings and is home to Oatlands's tourist information center, (Heritage Highway Visitor Information Centre).
Built in 1837 by British immigrant John Vincent (John Vincent), Callington Mill is a Georgian-style (Georgian)-style building and Australia's third oldest wind mill. It's a fully functional wind flour mill, about 15 meters tall and about 0.6m thick. Callington Mill is the only tower of its kind in Tasmania, surrounded by elegant sandstone stables, granaries and other buildings. The interior is the grinder's cabin and barn. The mill is still producing and selling homemade, high-quality flour.
