Introduction of Big Red

Big Red (Big Red, (formerly Nappanerica) is located about 35 km west of Birdsville, a small inland town in southwest Queensland.

Big Red, about 40 meters high, lies on the edge of the vast Simpson Desert, (Simpson Desert), and is one of the 1140 parallel dunes in the Simpson Desert, the closest to the civilized world of human beings.

Big Red is named, Big Red for its iron-rich grains, rusted red and provides a great place for four-wheel-drive enthusiasts to challenge themselves, and a spectacular sunset from the top of the Big Red is a must-see experience.

Big Red is also the host of "Big Red Night" (Big Red Bash), a three-day Australian country music event held in July each year, which has been attended by a number of Australian music blockbusters. By then, Big Red will be flooded with music and revelry.
