Anmatjere Man

Aileron Racecourse, Anmatjere NT 0872, Australia

Introduction of Anmatjere Man

Anmatjere Man lies in an inland desert in the southern part of the Northern Territory, about 130km south from Alice Springs, the second largest city of the Northern Territory, by (Aileron Roadhouse), a highway inn near the Stuttle Expressway, near (Stuart Hwy), the second largest city in the Northern Territory. It is about 370km north from Tengnante Creek (Tennant Creek).

Anmatjere Man was created by the reclusive sculptor Mark Egan (Mark Egan) in 18 months and consists of two parts, one of which is 12 metres tall and weighs about 8 tons, and an indigenous warrior stands on top of the hill, clutching a spear in his hand. Looking at the distance, 100 meters away, there was another statue of a woman, an aboriginal woman and the child nestled next to her, the mother on crutches and the other protecting the child's head. The two statues express the indomitable spirit of the aborigines and the difficult journey they have experienced.
