Axel Stenross Maritime Museum is located in the heart of Port Lincoln, the largest city of (Eyre Peninsula) in the southern Australian state of El Peninsula.
Axel Steinrose (Axel Stenross), a Finnish-born shipmaker who lived in poverty in his early years, moved to Port Lincoln, where he built the museum and named it after himself.
Open to the sea, Axel Stenross Maritime Museum is located in a historic building featuring a number of valuable marine-related artifacts, pictures and videos, one of the most distinctive museums in South Australia.
