Horsham

Introduction of Horsham

Horsham is a small town located inland in western victoria, about 300 km from the victorian capital Melbourne and 420 km from the southern australian capital Adelaide.

The Horsham is located on the Vimila River (Wimmera River), with a permanent population of approximately 15,000 people, and is the largest municipality in the Vimila region. European colonists began to settle here since the middle of the 19th century and were established as cities in 1949 as the population gradually increased.

Located in the middle of two well-known tourist destinations in western Victoria: Granping National Park (Grampians National Park) and Small Desert National Park (Little Desert National Park), Horsham is an important transit supply station for tourist vacations to the two national parks.

Horsham was named the cleanest town in Australia in 2001,2015 and 2016, respectively.
