Coobowie is a small town on the east coast of (Yorke Peninsula) Peninsula, west of Adelaide, about 223km by car from Adelaide and about 5km from (Edithburgh), Idisburg, with a permanent population of about 250.Coobowie is like other towns on the Yorkpeninsula. Faced with a young exodus and an ageing population, it has also made the town quiet and peaceful, featuring beaches and fishing. As a stop on the east coast of the Yorkshire Peninsula, Coobowie is less distinctive, and tourists are more likely to pass by or temporarily resupply.
