Angaston

Introduction of Angaston

Angaston is a small town in (Barossa Valley), South Australia's most famous wine-producing region, about 90 kilometers from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, with a permanent population of about 2000 people.

Angaston, located on the eastern side of the Barosha Valley, is the highest elevation in the entire Barosha Valley. As early as 1850, early German settlers settled here and created their homes, leaving a charming European flavor here. There are many fig trees on both sides of the main road of the town, with ancient European-style buildings on both sides of the road, and wineries around the town.

Additional attraction points:

  • Built in 1856 on the north-east side of Collingrove Homestead, the country-style mansion, which is now open to the outside world, has given people a glimpse of the historical precipitate of the town.
