The history of Baroza (Barossa)

To really understand Baroza (Barossa), you need to know something about history.

In the 19th century, businessman George Wheave Angus (George Fife Angas) commissioned German miner John Vinci to investigate the northern valley of Adelaide and found that it was a perfect place to grow grapes and orchids. The subsequent migration of German farmers, businessmen, artists, and other professionals, as well as middle-class people from the United Kingdom, opened up Baroosa into a very "rural gentry" community with a strong sense of life. As a result, the area has also formed a small German district that is very different from other communities in South Australia: the (Hahndorf). Of Handov. There are more than 2000 grape growers, more than 40 wineries, cellars and so on.

Inadvertently, you may find a century-old shop where you can even find wine in the name of the founder and his descendants. By candlelight you can see the years and names printed on the outside of the barrel. February-May is the harvest period for South Australian grapes. The grapes that are waiting to be harvested are bright in the sun and in the green leaves.

Each Barosha winery has a good signature wine, and there are centuries of traditional wine cellars, beautiful and clean countryside also has German culture scattered, even Queen Elizabeth II came here to praise this.

Barosha's (Barossa) festival.

If Baroza was like a lush ink painting in summer, it turned into a golden-red painting in late autumn.

January and February are local festivals in the Barosha Valley, and visitors can take part in many local entertainment activities if they are lucky enough to visit at this time.

March Australian Tennis Championships (Australian Racquetball Championships);
