Victoria`s picturesque resort, Xiannu Port (Port Fairy), was named Australia`s best town (Aussie Town of the Year). Of the year by Wotif, a travel reservation website. Demand for, real estate is growing in this remote coastal haven.
According to real estate website Realestate, Victoria`s historic fishing village, Xiannu Port, is gradually attracting attention. Its ancient charm, delicious food and rich and colorful festivals throughout the year have been named Australia`s best town by Wotif, a travel booking site.
While many families are on vacation at the busy seaside destination, real estate agents say there has also been a surge in inquiries about local homes.
Wolfe (Mick Wolfe), mayor of parliament (Moyne Shire Council) in Moines County, said it was exciting to win the national honor. This special place has been known to countless people.
"as long as you walk around town, you`ll find it`s a favorite place for tourists and residents," Wolff said.
Xiannu Port currently has a median house price of A $620000, with only 71 homes traded in the year to October 2018, according to CoreLogic, a real estate market research firm.
The Wotif selection is based on travel prices and demand, as well as tourist reviews.
