Federal government will pilot the new visa program this year to help companies attract tech talent to go to australia, according to the itnews website.

The global talent program, which will be piloted on July 1, will allow companies with annual revenues of more than A $4 million to guarantee "highly skilled and experienced" people in Australia for jobs with an annual salary of more than A $180000.

However, goverment said employers need to demonstrate that through "technology transfer", signed employees will benefit existing Australian employees.

In addition, guarantee organizations need to prove that they have a local record of hiring and training personnel.

Tech start-ups and other start-ups in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) will be able to guarantee skilled foreigners with expertise and skills. These start-ups will need to be certified by the authorities to prove that they are preferred to hire Australians.

The four-year "temporary skills shortage" visa is about to be piloted. It will open up a permanent migration route for visa holders after three years.

The new visa scheme will be piloted for 12 months, the goverment said.

The new visa does not set a career list, but immigrants will need at least three years of relevant experience.

"We want to ensure that Australian companies can hire the best people in the world because it will promote business development, skills transfer and job creation," he said. Minister of Citizenship and multiculturalism, Mr. Tucci (Alan Tudge), said in a statement.

"at all times, Australians have a priority in employment, but when the place does not have the relevant skills and experience, we want to bring in overseas talent," he said. Said Tucci.

It is reported that the goverment will further discuss the details of the visa scheme in the coming months, which is scheduled to start in July on a trial basis.
