Keep tightening! This time, goverment's immigration cuts target new immigrants' spouses, children, and parents.

If your parents, spouses, and children have not yet applied for naturalization, then you'd better speed up because goverment's machete has been sheathed.

If your parents, spouses, and children have not yet applied for naturalization, then you'd better speed up because goverment's machete has been sheathed.

It is clear that reducing the number of immigrants to an all-time low does not meet the Turnbullgoverment.. This time, they decided to focus on the children, spouses and parents of new immigrants.

Today, Australian media < The Australian > < SBS NEWS > also revealed that Citizenship Minister (Citizenship minister) Alan Tudge has focused on the family members of new immigrants.

One obvious fact is that Australia's goverment is reluctant to cut immigration quotas for those who can create labour and have long lived in Australia because they are property to the goverment.

But there are people who either lack Australian life experience, or have difficulty creating value for Australia, or lack English skills. These are immediate relatives of new immigrants who have not yet received an Australian visa: their children, spouses and parents.

According to Citizenship Minister Alan Tudge, half of the people who were granted permanent residence visas had never had life experience in Australia and it was hard to imagine that they could integrate into Australian society. In addition to the skilled immigrants needed by Australia's goverment, about 1 / 3 of the visas were granted to these offshore applicants: spouses, children, parents of new immigrants.

Australia's goverment may not want newcomers to enjoy themselves?

Alan Tudge stressed that it was very difficult to review visas for such people because the Immigration Service was unable to review their information. It must be acknowledged here: there may also be some security considerations.

But the point is: these people are not the labour force Australia wants.

Goverment felt that they would consume Australia's resources, and it was not cost-effective to collect and review information.

But they are priceless to the new immigrants. Australia's goverment is also unlikely to say it wants to cancel a spouse / child / parent immigration visa.

On this issue, there can be only one curved, plausible approach to tightening the number of visas.

Alan Tudge stressed: immigration will need to adopt more stringent audit measures, as well as stricter values testing. Although previously too difficult a language test was overturned, the lower-level English tests previously promoted by the goverment are already in full swing.

In short, the information, Alan Tudge revealed in this news contains the main points: 1. They have targeted immigration visas for three major relatives; 2. They will use methods to restrict such visas.

(PS: has so far remained in the press release on whether to tighten such visas, but according to previous steps taken by Australia's goverment to tighten visas, we think there is a good chance. However, this does not mean that it will be tightened in the future, because the bill still needs to be considered and passed.)

The goverment's tightening of parental, spousal and child scrutiny actually conveys the message that Australia needs a useful workforce, but does not want the wealth you create to give your family, and it is best to contribute all of that wealth to the Australian community.

Just as we have predicted exactly the trend of immigration on many occasions, the overall interests, public opinion and reality of Australia are highly likely to tighten the migration of parents, spouses and children in the future. Readers who have not yet fully applied for success may need to step up their pace!
