Brief introduction of academic alliance in the 21st Century
Academic alliance (Academic Consortium 21 in the 21st century, abbreviated as AC21, is a famous international university alliance. On June 24, 2002, AC21 was officially founded at an international forum hosted by Nagoya University. The alliance is committed to promoting the development of education and scientific research through inter-organizational cooperation to carry out all kinds of education, research and regional cooperation activities, so as to contribute to the international and regional society.
AC21 members include Peking University of China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Nanjing University, Northeast University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Jilin University, Nagoya University of Japan, North Carolina State University, University of Minnesota, Freiburg University of Germany, Camniz University of Technology, Strasbourg University of France and Adelaide University of Australia.
The concept of academic alliance in the 21st century is to promote the progress of education and research, and to construct the bridges between different regions and societies through the mutual cooperation between member colleges and universities, so as to realize the coexistence of human beings across borders and regions in the 21st century, as well as the diverse life and mutual understanding of human society, and to share the inherent knowledge and cultural value of human beings.
