Montreal Goldfield is located in the northern suburb of the Bergeragui, a coastal town of southeast New South Wales, about 8 kilometers from the center of the town of Bergeri.
Montreal Goldfield is Australia's only gold mine on the coast that extends into the sea. In 1880, gold was found on the beach, and gold diggers swarmed in until 1883, when a total of 250kg of gold was excavated. Instead of mining, Montreal Goldfield has been transformed into a popular tourist attraction at 2 pm every day, guided by a tour guide, walking along the treadmill surrounded by dense forests to explore the historical traces of the gold rush of that year.
