Located in the heart of the northern Queensland seaport city of Mackay, Bluewater Lagoon is a man-made swimming pool (free swimming pools are built in many urban areas of Queensland for public and tourist use) overlooking the picturesque pioneer river (Pioneer River), The area is equivalent to three 50-meter swimming pools. The Blue Water lagoon includes a magnificent waterfall connecting two lagoons as well as a children's play area with barbecue facilities and a coffee shop.
