Tahbilk - Cellar Door

254 Oneils Rd, Tabilk VIC 3608, Australia

Introduction of Tahbilk - Cellar Door

Tahbilk-Cellar Door is located in (Nagambie Lakes), the inland part of central Victoria, about 120km from (Melborune), the capital of Victoria, 55 km west from Heathcote (Heathcote), 10 km northeast from the small town of Najinbi (Nagambie) on Lake Najinbi, and about 35 km south of (Seymour).

Tahbilk-Cellar Door is a famous national grape growing area in Australia. It is the only wine producing area in Australia and one of the six wine producing areas in the world that rely on inland lake gas to regulate microclimate, so its wine is unique and different from that of the same kind.

Tahbilk Cellar Door was founded in 1860 by John Bear and Pinney Bear, where the estate land was bought from indigenous residents, which is called Tahbilk, meaning a place with sufficient water.

Tahbilk-Cellar Door has an area of 1214 hectares, which is a very large winery. Their wine is made only from the grapes of the garden and never buys grapes from other wineries, so it is, of course, an authentic manor wine. Since its inception, Tahbilk-Cellar Door's red wine has won more than a thousand medals and trophies in the world's most important wine competitions, such as London, New York, Paris, Bordeaux, Brussels, Australia and so on. Most French people do not know New World Wine (or even look down on New World Wine). But whenever I talk to my wine peers in Bordeaux about Australian wine, I find that they have a crush on Tahbilk-Cellar Door, saying that Tahbilk-Cellar Door is their favorite Australian wine. No wonder the contemporary wine saint Robert Parker also said: "Tahbilk-Cellar Door is the star of the Victorian wine industry, is one of the four best wine production wineries in Australia. Tahbilk-Cellar Door's red wine is rich in body, male luck, is one of the most durable Australian wine, she is one of the most valuable and old wine in the world, I warmly recommend it to you."

In addition to traditional grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon (Cabernet Sauvignon), (Shiraz), Merlot (Merlot), Snow (Chardonnay) and so on, the manor also grows excellent grape varieties such as (Marsanne), Viona (Vionie) and (Roussanne). The average grape tree is about 80 years old, but due to the microclimate and unique soil conditions in Najinbi Lake District, Tahbilk-Cellar Door has vines believed to be the oldest (Shiraz) variety in the world (the old tree of 1860). Every year, the harvest is carefully picked and brewed by hand, which is the pride of Tahbilk-Cellar Door.
