Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

LOT 701 Arara St, Kuranda QLD 4881, Australia

Introduction of Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

Skyrail Rainiest Cableway is connected to the famous tourist city of Cairns and Kuranda in the north of Queensland, with a total length of 7.5 km, a second-long air cable car in the world.

Skyrail Rainiest Cableway, across the Barron George National Park, in a comfortable six-person cable car, will see the magnificent landscape of the Cairns Rainforest, and the Coral Sea and the lush Cairns Highlands. There are two platforms in the middle, where the tourist can walk down the cable car, overlooking the forest under the foot, and the charming scenery.

The Skyrail Rainiest Cableway takes about 90 minutes, and the Red Peak station and the Baron Fall station will be stopped on the way, and visitors can get off the steps to see the sights.

  • In the Red Peak Station, the staff of the aerial ropeway provide the tourists with the beach travel guide, visiting huge plate-like roots in the old tropical forests and ancient concha pine trees, and climbing the reserved palm trees;
  • In the Baron Falls Station, numerous trails and watchtowers are above the Baron Canyon and the falls, and there are a number of historical exhibits and the Rainforest Interpreting Centre. The rainforest interpretation center is developed by the Australian Federal Science and Industry Research Organization (CSIRO), where the collection of interactive touch-screen computers and audio-visual display devices will provide an attractive and interesting learning experience for all the passengers.
