Funded and managed locally, New England Regional Art Museum has one of the best Australian art collections outside the capital. Most of the collections come from Howard (Howard Hinton Collection) 's collection, including the works of early Australian artists, notably Tom Roberts (Tom Roberts) and Arthur Sturitone (Arthur Streeton). The works span from the 1880s to the 1940s.
New England Regional Art Museum's collection is so rich that the exhibits cannot have permanent suspension positions. In addition to the museum's permanent and temporary displays, visitors can book visits and enjoy works stored in warehouses. This kind of visit is available every Wednesday.
In addition, museum stores have colorful and dynamic displays of Australian craftsmen's works and a wide variety of goods, such as jewelry, glass and ceramics.
