Norfolk Island

Norfolk Island

Introduction of Norfolk Island

Located in the south-west Atlantic, Norfolk Island is one of Australia's overseas territories, about km straight from the east coast of Australia mainland with an island area of about 34.5 square kilometers and a permanent population of about 2000 people, mostly of British descent, Kingston (Kingston) is the island-wide administrative centre and Norfolk Island is administratively administered by New South Wales.

Norfolk Island is a subtropical oceanic climate with mild climate and abundant fishery resources. Tourism is the economic foundation of the island, an isolated island that has strayed from the hustle and bustle, unpolluted pristine beaches, tumbling down spectacular waterfalls, scenic walking trails, and unique history and culture, receives about 30,000 visitors a year. The island's Norfolk Island airport (Norfolk Island Airport, code name NLK) can take off and land medium jet aircraft, the main means of transportation to and from the outside world, but also sea routes.

The Kingston and Arthur Valley Historic Site (Kingston and Arthur`s Vale Historic Area) on the Norfolk Island is one of the eleven sites of the Common Country UNESCO-rated World Heritage Site (Australian Convict Sites), and the Captain Cook Monument (The Captain Cook Memorial), built at Captain Cook's landing site of the year, is worth a visit. Around the monument, thick pine forests continue to the top of the cliff, turn around, and bring in non-noisy streets, swagger cattle, and distant waves of sea, where man and nature are perfectly integrated.
