Lake Broadwater Conservation Park

Lake Broadwater Road, Dalby QLD 4405, Australia

Introduction of Lake Broadwater Conservation Park

Lake Broadwater Conservation Park is located in the southwest suburb of Dalby, a small inland town in the (Darling Downs) area of Darlington, southeast Queensland, about 30 kilometers from the city of Dalby.

Lake (Lake Broadwater), an important wetland inland in Queensland, is a semi-permanent freshwater lake, averaging about 336m above sea level, surrounded by cypress pine, eucalyptus and open woodland, and usually covers an area of about 350ha. The maximum area covers an area of 1200 hectares, which can only be achieved after heavy rain. Lake Brodwater dries regularly, sometimes for a long time.

With the heart of Lake Brodwater (Lake Broadwater), Lake Broadwater Conservation Park is basically a pristine open scrub landscape, with few nearby residents and many wild animals, especially waterbirds.

There are two campsites in Lake Broadwater Conservation Park, Wilga Bush camping and Broadwater Campground, with toilets, barbecues, picnic tables and tap water (boiled or snacks before drinking). Camping requires an advance application and a fee.
