Bicentennial Park is located in (Darwin), the capital of the Northern Territory, over the cliffs of (Darwin Harbour), Port Darwin, along the waterfront avenue.
Bicentennial Park extends to the Darwin seaside, overlooking the beauty of the port of Darwin, surrounded by tropical trees, and Darwin's first War Monument in the park, commemorating the Australian people who died in World War I. There was also the use of jungle survival skills during World War II to help the army protect indigenous people off remote northern coastlines. At the same time, hand-painted tile panels are littered along the coast of the beach to commemorate some of the territory's "unknown achievers", including pioneers, hotel owners and pastoralists.
