Coorong National Park

Coorong National Park, Coorong SA 5264, Australia

Introduction of Coorong National Park

Coorong National Park is located at the northernmost end of (Limestone Coast), the limestone coast of South Australia, about 80 kilometers from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.

Coorong National Park's narrow terrain, its saline lagoon extending more than 100km, is a paradise for all kinds of birds, and a long dune belt separated between the lagoon and the ocean protects the waters from the surging waves of the southern ocean. The Coorong National Park is ideal for four-drive enthusiasts, anglers, boating enthusiasts and birdwatchers, with stunning scenery, gorgeous scenery and well-designed four-drive lanes. It is also an important area of indigenous community composting (large quantities of shellfish deposited from fishing all year round), scattered throughout the sand, and not only that, Coorong National Park is archaeological, but also indigenous graves and cemeteries are littered with places. Visitors can take part in many activities in the park, including land-based bird-watching, eco-cruise, sail and canoe, fishing, camping and hiking.

In Coorong National Park, you can take a boat tour of clear water or walk along endless beaches, with multiple campsites in the National Park. If you enter the park from the north, you can pass through the historic town of (Goolwa) and the mouth of the Murray River (Murray River), and the southern entrance to the park will pass through the towns of (Meningie) and (Salt Creek) on the Salter River.
