Hinze Dam is located in the western suburbs Gold Coast queensland's second largest city, about 20 kilometers from downtown Gold Coast and 80 kilometers north from the state capital Brisbane queensland.
The Hinze Dam was first built in 1976 and has undergone two additional and enhanced projects in Year Nineteen Eighty-nine 、2011 years, the most recent of which was completed in 2011, with a total cost of $39.5 million, raising the dam wall to 15 metres and doubling the capacity of the dam, thereby increasing the safe water level and flood mitigation capacity.
Hinze Dam is 1850 meters long and magnificent, visitors can come to visit the magnificent dam and visit its facilities, including the most advanced interpretation center (Interpretive Centre), lakeside park, walking, cycling and riding the road, parking lot, toilet and public barbecue area.
